Historic Castroville’s 28th Annual Old Fashion Christmas
will be held on the first Friday and Saturday of December. There is no
entrance fee for the event, which is sponsored by the Castroville
Area Chamber of Commerce.
Friday night will feature vendors located on Houston Square. A walking parade with carolers will lead the way to Houston
Square for a lighting of the Square and large Christmas tree.
Saturday will boast over 250 vendors providing a wide variety of
gifts, arts and crafts and commercial items as well as an abundance
of food and drink to satisfy everyone’s appetites.
Guests are able to
sample everything from traditionally American to Mexican to Alsatian
fares.
Entertainment throughout the day features music
groups, gymnastics, local choirs, a train for children
to ride, Scottish Bagpipes and Drums, and much more. Santa will
also pay his annual visit at 1:00 p.m. Children will have the
opportunity to talk to Santa and have their pictures taken with him.
Make it a fun filled weekend by staying at our beautiful Hotel
Alsace or one of our quaint Bed and Breakfasts. Visit the
