Community Awards Nomination Form

Rules:

The person, couple, organization, or business may be nominated by another person or by themselves.

 

This form must be completed and returned to the Castroville Area Chamber of Commerce office via email or hand-delivered no later than 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

 

The person, couple, organization, or business must reside in the Castroville area to be eligible.

 

Educator of the Year must be a professional educator within MVISD or St. Louis Catholic School.

 

The businesses nominated for Business of the Year and New Business of the Year must be Chamber members.

 

The nominee or a representative of the nominee must attend the Chamber Banquet. Tickets will be available at the Chamber Office.

 

The selected winner will be presented at the Chamber Banquet on January 31, 2024 at 6:00pm at Elsass Hall.

OUTSTANDING CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
NEW BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

(started business between 7/1/2022 and 6/30/2023 and currently in business)

These are the businesses that qualify: All Local, Firebrand Pottery, Harzheim Properties, Koality Counseling Services, Pinky's Pet Resort, Premier Pools & Spas, Rainbow Theater, RDS Dumpster Services, Rock & Tapas, Schottzy's, The Castroville Conservatory & Cottage School

NONPROFIT OF THE YEAR

These are the nonprofits that qualify: American Legion Post 460, Belong, Castro Colonies Heritage Association, Castroville Economic Development Council, Castroville Conservation Society, Castroville Nip & Tuck, Castroville Special Events, Community Council of South Central Texas Inc., Dramatic Diva Productions, Friends of 471 Scout, Friends of the Castroville Library, Friends of the Castroville Regional Park, Gamma Upsilon - Texas, Girl Scouts of Medina County, Hearts Up For Cancer, Kinetic Kids, Landmark Inn State Historic Site, Medina County Museum, MV Youth Soccer Assoc., New Beginnings Children's Home, Petunia's Rescued Friends, Restore Reproductive Health, Rotary Club of Hondo-D'Hanis, Run Local, Shooting Star Museum, St. Louis Catholic School, The Medina County Republican Party, All Area Churches 

EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR
OUTSTANDING JUNIOR CITIZEN BOY & GIRL

The student must be a Medina Valley High School senior to be eligible. The Outstanding Senior Boy and Girl will receive a plaque at the banquet and a $250 Junior Citizen of the Year scholarship from the Castroville Area Chamber of Commerce in May at MV Senior Awards night.
